Hello. I am new user. My name is Algirdas. I living in Lithuania. I've been here I registered because in my country is not modeling, which produce ships of wood. In the past, I make planes, but recently decided to try to produce a model of the ship. For me the most beautiful model of the ship seemed to Wasa. Buy Corel corporate set. This set is complicated, lack of information, the drawings are not complete. I put the picture as far as the ship is now done and if you can tell me how I'm feeling lucky, and what I am doing wrong.

Hi Algirdas for a first build you have made a lovely job. The trouble with the Corel Vasa is its a old kit and was produced before a lot of evidence from the real ship was known as the blue is wrong and the shape of the hull is totally different from what it should be. A lot of modifying needs to be done to get it close to the real thing and I would suggest you look at Mid 1400c Michaels wonderful build on this site. Once again lovely build Martyn

I think when I finish this Corel Vasa, I'll try to do deagostini ship model. Maybe buy a set of deagostini firm. But I saw a deagostini ship being 3 times more expensive than a Corel. I did not find in this forum whether or not everybody sells made ships. Is there anywhere wasa sellers forum?

I am thinking about next VASA kit. Which model is better deAgostini or S ergal by price and quality ratio? Attachments:

deAgostini is more accurate, since it is based on more recent information. Because of the partworks format, it is more expensive, but the cost is spread over two years +. I think that the sculptures in the deAg kit are excellent, and since I can remake anything that is wood but I am not a great micro-carver, that would make the choice for me. I think that the Sergal kit uses good quality materials, and the fittings are fine. Some of its accuracy issues are fixable. I have not built it, so cannot comment on how much fun it is or how much of a struggle.

The bow-view is even smarter! Here it is the right way up: She looks very finished, do only the flags need to be added? Peter

I will put the flags. My VASA ship still has a lamp and some sculptures on it. This is not the final version yet.
