Hello Mark,
The scallop shingles pattern on my Sergal gallery roofs was a tough problem for me to solve also. I took a 1 x 5mm strip wood remnant and milled a 5mm semicircle into one end and used this as a guide for a sharp pointed yellow art pencil (Prismacolor Premier lemon yellow from Michael's Arts and Crafts). I was able to remove unacceptable marks and ended up with a less than excellent but decent effect.

I think your effect was excellent - I may try this on my next Vasa build. I also have the Corel kit.

Hi Maark,
I also have a Corel Vasa kit I mistakenly bought when I was not sure which scale to build in. But the thought of building another Vasa (and in a smaller scale) makes me ill.

You are right - it is not the easiest ship to model considering all the details that have to be re-done.
