Due to change of policies from Photobucket all pictures are blocked (can be released by paying $ 400,00)
I am going to setup an new photo sharing system on my own account as I am posting on various forums. within a few weeks I expect to post some new pictures and summary of the build.

Hi Fred, sorry to see that even the Museum has to follow the EU rules for biddings, we see that over here also a lot, at the end the prices are not lower we have to wait for the bidding process and then the delivery time of the publisher. I think I can delete this on my X-mas wish list and wait for next spring or are the publishers in Sweden quicker? I think indeed that a solution within dropbox or equal can be of help for these files as this forum does not have the capablities to store these files

I am now working on this long boat and have some questions:
- was this long boat equipped with sails and what type of sail(s) - were there banks to sit in, and how many approximately - stearing by ruder or beam?
these details were not clear for me on the drawing and pictures of the original and I lost the pictures of Clayton's longboat

the tissue paper is used as a "frame"to build the planking, specially due to the small size it was very difficult to make the original frames and use these for planking.
PS: on my trips I do not have so many spare times, but I took always some pdf files with me for reading some model building books/magazines

Thanks for your reply Jules
Firstly the private problems are caused by the attempt to sell our house, so my work space is limited and needs to be cleaned regulary. Also I am very busy with my job and a lot of travelling for weeks to the Middle East.
The technic I used for this boat have I learned on the web from a Russian builder in the past and used this earlier already for an other small boat. Made a mall using glue for wall paper in combination with toilet paper sheets (called Papier Mache in the Netherlands). after a week the paper is fixed so you can easy glue the wood on the in and outside.

I started with the small boat I re-scaled the drawing from Fred made a mall with the frames and made planking on the inside and outside and the frames inside next steps will be the further details in frames, sward, small mast with sails etc etc

Good to see that you have restarted your Vasa. Your old log has been one of the logs for me to start with the Vasa and I had the plan to make the same modifications as you did. however I did not made these modifications and kept the frames from the Corel kit unchanged, I only replaced the visibile wood in wallnut. I keep following you, as I am now in the stop mode with my Vasa
