Thank you Fred. Have you start to build your DeAgostini Vasa? I think it is a really nice kit so far. Very good fitting.

Hello
I have now got all the parts for the keels so I am about to start my build. I have to say that the metal decorations so far are very good. I have a question about gilding, were the lion heads on the gun ports gilded or just painted?

Thank you for the answer Fred. There is a build log on Model ship world (the link is attached) and the canon is more presented there. After have seen that pictures so have I signed up for Vasa again and the first part should arrive tomorrow. Your answer here is also very welcome and I am really looking forward to this build. I already have the Billing Vasa at home (unbuilt) but I think I can do that one with the old paint scheme. Br Jörgen

Yes, think the same with accuracy when comparing theres victory with caldercraft. Think I Will go for the billing Model (since I have It..) and Mattis work gives that It can be a wonderfoul Model with extra work. The final cost of deagostinis kits is discussed alot on forums. The argument is to spread out the cost but when checkens the costs so is IT probably cheaper to buy a full model with a credit card and pay it over the same 3 years....

Thank you Jan, I have looked on these wonderful pictures but I cannot find a the same shape. This has also been questioned on the model spaces Italian forum for vasa. I really want to build this model but I am hesitating. The gun is one thing but the other is this premunation from another company then deagostini. At the 80:s I had a premunation of "allt om flygplan" from deagostini in Swedish and this should be a large serie of 10 bindings, but they stop the serie just after 3...

Hello all, I am new on this forum. I aim to build Vasa and I have the Billing model at home. But I found this new Vasa and it looks very interesting since the museum has been involved. So I started my subscription yesterday. But now I start to have little worries since this kit will be very expensive. My concern is the look and shape of the cannon that will come in part one. It looks rather fat and short. Is this the right shape or is it just a very bad representation that is found on other kits? If it is a bad shape, how is then the rest of the kit? Does anyone here have any inputs since there are no pictures or reviews to look at. Best regards Jörgen
