Here is the display case built for my 1:60 scale VASA. I wanted to be able to remove the model from the case without having to lift the heavy (90 lb.) glassed top section and avoid the obvious danger to the model. The model simply slides 24" on a sliding sub-baseboard out the end of the case which gives room for a handhold on the hull for complete removal. Also, the glassed top section lifts and separates from the table leg section for transport alone. The VASA in a cozy corner of the living room. VASA in closed case. End door open. The display case would be moved away from the left wall to completely remove the ship. VASA partially removed on sliding sub-baseboard.
