How are the spritsail top's futtock shrouds attached to the bowsprit? All the other shrouds would attach to the shrouds of the mast below, but here there is of course none. It's not clear from any pictures I have whether they simply loop under the bowsprit, or are attached to one or more ring bolts, or in some other manner.

i only know how it is done in the Batavia. There are a couple of ringbolts, and the shrouds are attached to the six ringbolts. (Using a simple eyesplice.)

Because the end of the bowsprit does not survive, there is no evidence of how this was done on Vasa. The solution on the Batavia reconstruction is a logical one.
