Hi Ulises, your name sounds familiar to me. Have we met on other Forums/Boards? I just joined and will post an introduction later. Captain Jerry

Hi Jerry. Does your lastname start with a "G"? If they were shipmodeling forums, most likely yes, and I'm thinking about the now defunct Dry Dock forum. I usually go in these forums with my full name Ulises Victoria. And your name sounds familiar to me also.

Hi Ulises, Yes. My last name is Glickstein. Yes again on the shipmodeling forums. I know your full name because you have been a member of my Glick Model Shop Group ( On Yahoo) since October 21, 2006. How are you? Best Regard, shipmodelmaker Hi Jerry. Does your lastname start with a "G"? If they were shipmodeling forums, most likely yes, and I'm thinking about the now defunct Dry Dock forum. Hello Jerry. Yes, I knew it was you but I didn't want to put your full lastname myself for respect to your privacy. I have been well, thanks, and hope you are too. To be honest, I very rarely visit any yahoo groups. Glad to see you here.

Hi Clayton, I agree with Ulises, your efforts for this site are commendable and appreciated~! Well done.
BTW, I just changed my avatar to a photo of my Le Soleil Royal, a Heller kit, heavily modified with references to R. C. Anderson, Jean Boudriot, and Richard H. Snyder who wrote an excellent 2 part article for the Nautical Research Journal - Rigging French Men of War 1670 - 1690, NRJ 48:4 & 49:1.

Your welcome!
I have seen some very heavily modified and very well done plastic kits recently. I think they can be a pleasure to look at. I like your picture, even though it is small.

Thank you Clayton, this 'kit' was a real challenge because of the complex rigging, extensive frieze designs, and numerous upgrades I made based on reference materials from Anderson, Boudriot, and Snyder (he wrote an excellent 2 part article for NRJ Vol 48:4). I also developed a new technique for making the sails out of high grade paper which I plan to describe in detail for one of the boat magazines. These were so much effort that I decided to make only four, but a balanced rig. NRG put several pix on their website that you might visit.
Nevertheless, my first passion is wood, and I have made ships with this medium, plus I have several others started - in wood, scratch. My d'Haelve Maen is at the deck planking stage, the hull planking is 60% done and some of the deck furniture is ready. When I launch it, my next build is the 'Vulture' by Antscheryl. Or maybe the Oliver Cromwell, or the Sir Edward Hawke, or an English 32' launch by Passaro. One of my goals is to start carvings, like your avatar above. Hmmm, I better get to the shop. Duff
