www.svt.se/nyheter/sverige/nu-ska-vasa-raddas
It's in swedish and is about how they will reinforce Vasa to make her hold together "forever". Nice footage from within Vasa and of how they construct the new replica that will be used to learn how strong the construction is and how to make the best reinforcement and to learn if it will survive cannon balls.
Fred, Im with the timbermen, the oak will stand the cannon balls.

Thanks, Matti - especially for the English summary. Very interesting project.

Matti,
The math suggests that a 24 pdr ball will go through over 60 cm of oak with no problem (a 36 pdr will go through 1.5 meters of solid oak) so I am not very worried!
