Hi Fred,
concerning the lantern you had written some time ago, there will be further research. I soon wanted to start building it: Is there anything new on this issue already? Or is Landström's lantern still the best presentation? Were there any findings that could be associated with the lantern? Especially Landström has placed angels at the corners of his draft. How sure is this?
Cheers, Alexander

Alexander, We have not located any of the parts of the lantern yet, although we are starting a project this fall to go through all of the small mouldings and other decorative details, which might include lantern parts. Until then, Landström's reconstruction is a good as any, I imagine. As far as we can tell, there is only a single lantern, mounted on the centerline at the top of the transom railing, on an iron bracket.

Thanks for the information, Fred!
In the event that you find no vestige of the lantern: Will there still be an official reconstruction? It is worth to wait?

Even if we do no find any remains, we will still need to suggest a reconstruction, but in that case, yours will be just as valid as ours!
